Traceroute shows you the route over the network between two systems and IPAddress. It lists all the intermediate routers, and the connection passes through to get to its destination.

The tool helps administrator to determine why your website response time is poor from different geographical locations. It helps you to know the exact problem in connectivity and number of hops it takes to reach the destination.

Traceroute is often used for network troubleshooting. By showing a list of routers traversed, it allows the user to identify the path taken to reach a particular destination on the network. This can help to determine routing problems.
