Q. Hello, Judhajeet, this is a great pleasure to have you on dhost.com today. So, tell us something about yourself and how you got into blogging?
I am a Tech Fanatic and also a YouTuber with 5,700 subscribers and counting. It was Feb 2015 and I thought of starting off my YouTube channel, and then I met my partner on Google+.
He started to tell me about blogging, and soon I started liking the subject, and here I’m today 🙂
Q. What schedule do you follow daily to maintain and manage your blogs?
Judhajeet: Um. I don’t actually have a proper schedule. I try to blog the maximum in my free time. I am on the internet almost all the time, so I start blogging anytime :p But yeah, I stick to it and don’t give up.
Q. How do you make money from your blog? And how can a blogger make a decent income from their blogs?
Judhajeet: My primary earning source is AdSense which is fairly good. Though I make more money from sponsored posts, guest posts.
Well, as per my view a blogger can make more money only after he spends more time improving his website. The more traffic it generates, the bigger it gets which means high AD earnings and even better-priced guest posts. So working on the site first is imperative and then focus on money.
Q. What Are Some Of The Tools And Apps You Use Regularly To Manage Your Blogs?
Judhajeet: I use Semrush keyword tool for my basic keyword research and it does really help. I don’t really use many tools but using SEO tool plugin like Yoast is the must.
Q. From What You Have Seen, What Separates The Successful Bloggers From The Less Successful Ones?
Judhajeet: Well… The most common thing I have seen in few of the successful bloggers I have talked to or have had a small conversation is that they all are very dedicated and hardworking.
They never give up, and that’s what made them the toppers. To those whom we consider successful bloggers today, weren’t the same yesterday but they worked very hard for it and deserved it.
Less successful ones are those who are mainly Still learning and someone who isn’t active as much as the successful ones are. No one starts in the first place; you gotta make your own destiny.
Q. Today’s site visitors are often coming in via mobile devices. How important is it to make your site mobile friendly? Any thoughts on Google’s latest algorithm changes in this direction?
Judhajeet: Yeah, making a site mobile friendly is a big part of a successful blog as the increasing rates of more mobile users today.
The way smartphone technology is growing, it seems the future will soon be into those small screens so yea, Mobile friendly sites are the ones who can survive in future.
Google’s new algorithms are preferring mobile friendly sites more because as I said, its the future so why not? Google has always worked accordingly the future. Also, the so called SEO experts are having a hard time learning the new algorithms which are nice. No shortcuts 🙂
Q. What Are The Three WordPress Plugins That You Can’t Live Without And Why?
Judhajeet: Um. I would say WP-Smush Pro, Jetpack, and WP super cache. I install these 3 in all my blogs, and they are the one I love the most, don’t know why :p
Q. Please give us an overview on where you are hosting your blog? What has been your experience with them?
Judhajeet: I am hosting all my sites at Vultr VPS from last one Year. The experience has been great but I am thinking to upgrade my servers or even migrate to any other host as I had some down times and lots of database errors in past which doesn’t anymore happen but, who knows. I don’t want to take a risk! 🙂
Q. What do you think of dhost.com, any tips for our blog?
Judhajeet: I’ve read a lot of interviews of some of the most well-known bloggers here at Dhost.com, and I have to say, it has given me a lot of inspiration. Didn’t know I’ll get the feature here one day 🙂 Its undoubtedly an amazing site!
That’s all for my questions – I hope you enjoyed this online interview. Thank you very much.
