Q. Hello Jitendra, this is a great pleasure to have you on dhost.com today. So, tell us something about yourself and how you got into blogging?

Jitendra: Hey Anuradha, Pleasure to be here on DHost blog. I am Jitendra Vaswani founder of internet marketing blog BloggersIdeas.com, Digital marketing agency Digiexe.com & WordPress plugin SchemaNinja.

My blogging started when I was doing the job in e-commerce company in 2013; I got an idea that people are earning from blogging and living laptop lifestyle.

So journey started from first official blog BloggersIdeas.com and till then I am running this successfully.

The blogging journey was not so smooth for me as I had to struggle a lot in the beginning because I was not aware of WordPress and I need to learn all things online.

I haven’t joined any coaching, and I am self-taught blogging geek.

I am also starting my workshops in Delhi for teaching people about blogging & digital marketing.

How blogging can change my life and how it can change yours by following some simple hacks.

Q. What are three blogs that you visit almost daily and why they are your favorites? Which book inspires you most?

Jitendra: I read lot of blogs online to get latest digital trends. I follow blogs like :

  • Seroundtable.com
  • Searchenginejournal.com
  • Quicksprout.com
  • Searchengineland.com

Also I read some great affiliate blogs like :

  • Nichehacks.com
  • Johnchow.com
  • Smartpassiveincome.com
  • Charlesfloate.co.uk
  • Nichepursuits.com

These are well known blogs in affiliate industry and they share huge knowledge about how to make money online. Follow them and you will surely get ideas for making money online.

I am developing my interest for reading books nowadays and I am sure it will create great impact on my life.

Q.  What do you think is the best social media strategy for getting more visitors to a blog?

Jitendra: There are various methods to get social media traction I would recommend these strategies below:

  • Build trust among readers by sharing real value
  • Build your personal brand
  • Run giveaways & contests
  • Follow social media experts in your niche and build relationships with them.
  • Take interviews & do podcasts.
  • Go to social events, meet & greet top influencers. Click pictures with experts and you will soon gonna see your social reach increasing to the max.
  • Promote your blog with high-quality thumbnails. Becoz thumbnails will help users to click on it.

Q. Please share moments that you feel are the best and worst moment you had so far in your blogging journey? And was there a time when feel you should give up blogging?

Jitendra: The moment when I feel best is when I go to events and some newbie blogger comes to me says that you inspired me to start blogging and because of you I am here now. This motivates me a lot and pushes me to work harder.

Worst moment in blogging was when I was not getting right team to handle my blogs, my blogs sometimes go down due to poor WordPress plugin installations and sometimes due to hacking of my blogs.

I am technical handicap so I was feeling very low and decided that due to these issues my blogging will suffer a lot. So I hired a right guy for handling these issues, and soon these problems were not a pain in the ass anymore.

I was trying to be one man army, but I was proved wrong here.

One more mistake I made while doing blogging was that choosing wrong hosting for my blog.

I choose bad hosting & my blog used to suffer a lot. I though like giving up because my blogs cannot handle the load and I was very depressed.

So always spend good money on buying top quality hosting. Check my blog post about choosing best hosting read here: Top  Best Rated Web Hosting Services

Also when I started full time blogging I didn’t told  my family about my business. I used to lie to my parents that I am doing job and I was working secretly on my business.

Because I know my family would not support me at all because they never trusted that I could do business. My whole family is job oriented doing business was way beyond their expectations.

I did not have guts to tell my family that dad I am doing business, but I decided to make financial stable myself first. Once I make good money in blogging, I can tell them that I am doing a job anymore.

I took the risk and proved my family wrong.

I got featured on many blogs & top news sites. My family saw it, and now they feel proud of me.

I am soon starting my digital marketing institute in Jaipur in next month September 2016.  This is just like a dream come true.

Q. Do you see any difference in your approach towards blogging today compared to what it was three years back?

Jitendra: Yes blogging had changed a lot. Google is very strict now with spamming and all blackhat stuffs.

As I have seen newbies are getting diverted towards spamming and they are looking for short tricks to earn money.

I would never recommend this to newbie. They should learn to how to build long term blogs and make that stable first. Then they can try their hands with spamming.

I am much more focused on building long-term blogs.

Q. Jitendra, you must have tried many monetization methods on your blogs, What is your best way to make money blogging and do you think it can work for everybody?

Jitendra: Yes I tried different monetization methods on my blog. Best way to make money from blog is affiliate marketing.

It is a sure shot way to make money online, and I am certain if someone starts working various niche affiliate products then one can earn excellent money through affiliate marketing.

Although I know many guys who makes money through Google Adsense, Sponsored reviews & selling links. Different people have different methods to earn money from blogs.

You need to experiment with your blog and see what is working for you to fetch money.

Don’t depend on the single source of income because I have seen many newbies rely on the single source of income if that method stops working then they became helpless and they leave blogging suddenly.

Don’t put your eggs in one basket 🙂

Q. What advice will you give to other budding bloggers?

Jitendra: Budding bloggers should follow experts in their niche, I have seen many newbies get intro traps of following wrong doings for making money online.

Don’t fall into the trap, try to learn from the experts. Follow their advice & tips. Join webinars, go to events, network with right people & build your network.

Your network is your net worth.

Q: Where Is Your Blog Hosted At This Time And How Long You Have Been With The Host? Please Share Your Experience With Them.

Jitendra: I use DigitalOcean & Bluehost for my blogs. Also, I use different hosting for PBN blogs. I had tried different hostings from time to time and always kept trying new.

But I would never recommend using shared hosting because they are not feasible & your IP may be used by many other users.
Always use hosting with dedicated IP. Make sure that your hosting can withstand load once your traffic is at peak.

That’s all for my questions, thank you very much for your time and Suggestions. It’s a very inspirational and informative interview for our readers. Have a Good Day Jitendra 🙂
