This week, our interview guest, Ammar Ali from, was kind to answer a few questions for us. In this interview, we are going to discover a little more about his background and gather his opinions in web host selections. I hope you will enjoy this Q&A session. Do stop by in the comment section and feel free to ask Ammar questions. 🙂

Q: Hello Ammar, Thanks For Taking Up This Interview. How Are You Doing Today? Let’s Start With Some Introduction. Can You Tell Us More About Yourself And Your Blog?

Ammar: Thanks for having me here. I’m the guy behind I started this blog during high school. I’m a person who is keen towards learning. I always wanted to create my website and the time I got the internet I started exploring stuff on starting an own website.

For the first few months, I spend lots of time learning and developing the skills that will help me in starting a professional blog.

On 1st December 2011, my first ever blog was live, and that changed my life. I’m so happy I started it. I also launched my personal blog recently.

Q: When did you realize that you had made it as a blogger?

Ammar: The time when someone said you motivated me to start my blog. It feels great.

Q: What is your experience in the blogging area?

Ammar: I started exploring blogging back in earlier 2011 and started my blog after few months. I’ve been blogging for over five years now and can argue that I’ve got some nice skills.

I worked with many companies including Infolinks, template monster, deposit photos to name a few.

Q: In your opinion, what makes a good hosting service? What are some of the key points to look into when we are choosing a web host?

Ammar: I’ve had appalling experience with my first hosting company that I used for my blog. No one told me how important a web hosting it, nor I had any idea.

Within few weeks I started facing problems. My blog was down every next day, and account got suspend again and again because their server couldn’t handle a new blog.

Now I’ve used seven web hosting companies so far, and I’ve got some strong points to help you choose a great hosting company.

  Know your needs

Always read reviews first especially contrary.

Check out features they provide and see if they fit your needs

Ask those who have already got experience in this field so you won’t get duped.

Q: Where Is Hosted At This Time And How Long You Have Been With The Host? Please Share Your Experience With Them.

Ammar: It’s currently hosted on InMotion Hosting VPS. I recently moved to https and changed permalink along with upgrading my hosting account.

I’m with them from last three months and couldn’t be more than happy. They provide fast SSD hosting, excellent customer support, and features. I never had to wait for more than 2-3 minutes to get support.

Q: What do you advice: focus on a single site or create several sites in the various niche?

Ammar: It depends on the type of niche you are starting your website.

Google loves authority site. You just can’t write about everything in a single blog. So, you will have to find out what suits best.

Having a blog that’s focused more on a particular topic is a lot better than creating different websites on various topics / sub-topics.

Q: Do you use Affiliate marketing to earn revenue? What is your advice to others on Affiliate marketing?

Ammar: That’s my #1 method I use to monetize my blog and it’s can give excellent results if you know what you are talking about and your readers trust you.

My advice would be to choose the products that your readers would love. Promoting something they won’t even interest in is a terrible idea.

Secondly, write honest reviews. Try the product yourself first before giving any opinion about it.

If you look at my recent post about WordPress hosting, I mentioned that I used over seven web hosts but only recommend three. The reason is these three companies are great to work with, and they provide an unbeatable feature that my audience will love.

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to other aspiring bloggers, what would it be?

Ammar: Be patient. Because great things take time. Nothing comes easy.

Thanks Again For Your Time.

Great Interview Ammar.. Mostly i have the same thoughts as of you, specially when considering the Quality>Quantity thing. its better to have one authority website then many small websites.

    Good luck ahead!

      Hello Ali,

Thanks, you liked the interview. I agree with your point that With multiple niche sites, we might win the SEO game for a short while, but the advantages of a single domain that will become super stable and authority, in the long run, is something that we should ideally look for.

Hope to see you again 🙂
